Frying brown rice in butter for 5 mins or so helps break down the outer shell so the boiling process will be quicker. if its not quick rice it will take 2-3 hours to fully cook after frying.

I understood about 1 in every 10 words out of Bridges mouth in that film. I liked the Giver even though it was a film dedicated to teens and all that. The concept was interesting.
