Re: Rax/Maz/Jimbo 2021 Games Thread

Maybe. I went through a Pixar marathon earlier last year intending to say some stuff about all of their movies here, but in the end I just decided not to. Knowing your thoughts will only be read by about two or three people max is an effective demoralizer, I guess. I also miss talking about politics...

I guess DKC3 brought me out of my shell, idk.

Idk if I'm going to post about movies again. There's a lot of movies I want to talk about but that sounds like a lot of work.

DKC3 was a fixture of my childhood for some weird reason. I really liked it, while I didn't care about the first one much and I never played the second. I replayed it on the Switch recently and IMO it has some fantastic music and great atmosphere and level design. Also the graphics seem like they we...

Yeah, a bit, particularly the very last scene and the scene about halfway through the season with Homelander's public temper tantrum. They both read to me as the writers becoming much more cynical and clear-eyed about the American public. Apart from that I thought the satire in general was pretty si...

If I remember correctly Booksmart did a joke essentially like that with the pizza delivery guy with the guilty conscience, only funnier because it was quicker and more subtle. I think Mean Girls slowly got worse as it went on. The first half or whatever of it was pretty good, the second was just ok.

Poor conservatives. Even the most high-profile and respected "conservative" Hollywood guy they can point to and claim as their own is, at best, only ambiguously conservative. It must be tiring to keep losing the culture war so hard.
