Re: Bitches be crazy

@Monk: I've noticed that actually, and in some men too - most notably this gay guy I know who grew up with an abusive father. I don't think it's the result of a 'be nice' routine so much as a defensive mechanism. I have the same thing to some degree (just smiling, not laughing), as well as two of m...

Re: Bitches be crazy

One thing I often notice when talking or listening to women is: Very often, women laugh and talk at the same time. They say something, and before finishing the sentence, they burst out laughing. Some men do it as well; but I have the subjective impression that it's more common with women. Maybe thi...

It's not just the white privilege thing, though there's obviously that. He just seems utterly incapable of understanding the opposing side's arguments. It's hilariously pathetic at times. That and he's a complete ass

Re: Movies I partook in watching

I enjoyed Pagemaster as a kid, but never thought it quite stacked up to other animated films of its era. I saw King Ralph as a kid and actually liked it, but I probably wouldn't care for it these days despite Goodman. Spaceballs probably remains my favorite spoof movie, largely because of my nerdine...

I'm talking people like Vegas, ErJen, Blade, Ada, Mutha, Deanshore and any number of other permanent fuckwits you can think of. Is there any justification for it to remain illegal to do humanity, and especially the gene pool, a service by eliminating these embarrassments from society? We could make...

Lewis's law is an eponymous law taken from her observation that "the comments on any article about feminism justify feminism".

I do kind of miss the mayhem of the older games. If I recall correctly, you used to have to go crazy with shooting and explosions to get a wanted level. In GTA V, I would get a wanted star even if I was in the middle of the friggin desert and used a silencer to kill one person. It was ridiculous.

Re: New Oklahoma law...

It's illegal to discriminate against someone based on race, and (although I'm less sure of this) on sex. Is that so? From the article: “The notice may refer to the person's religious beliefs, but shall state specifically which couples the business does not serve by referring to a refusal based upon...

What if all businesses will start discriminating? How do you mean? What if in some rural area, all businesses will advertise: No service to <homos/blacks/unmarried women>? Where will the members of the discriminated groups turn to? A positive outcome might be that some businesses will advertise: We...

Re: Why are we more concerned about girls learning bad lessons than boys?

In terms of your examples, the concern with girls has more to do with physical image while your example of the boys is more focused on behavior. And among those male behaviors, they are generally not looked upon in a positive light. Aladdin thieves out of necessity to live, not to become rich. Flynn...

GTA V

Re: Thoughts on appropriating anger?

People are called SJWs regardless of whether they're angry or calm. I don't think it's at all inappropriate for the privileged to express anger or point out bigotry, as more often than not they're more likely to be taken seriously on the matter by others of the same race and gender. As aels pointed ...

It's easy to make fun of the sissification in Hollywood with effeminate little posers like Efron and Pattinson being so popular. But then take a look at 40 years ago when their places in the list of most popular actors were taken by effeminate little posers like Woody Allen and Al Pacino. Before an...

I don't like the description of the problem in that article. Though it says that the host "knows what's going on," it doesn't specify that he ALWAYS opens a goat door; that he ensures that he's never opening the car door. This is an important piece of the puzzle. If the host just opens an...
