Though it seems really weird to me that these sorts of things would be "legend" only 30 years later.... this should be just basic recent history. If Luke disappeared after the victory on the Death Star, to become some kind of super jedi Master or whatever, then discovering what happened d...

You should try eharmony. It's always better to actually pay for a dating site, because there are less time wasters and trolls on it. I got matched with my lady friend on there.

That series was funny and enlightening. Haven't seen it in years. I think the dark humor went over-the-top a few times. Years ago on the old religion board, there was a regular poster that I discovered was huge fan of the prequels when he flipped out 'cause I told him to watch RLM reviews. It was s...

Stargate SG-1 was great. Sure it was cheesy, but I think it got better as the seasons progressed. I love this scene from Supernatural. It's pretty much a spoiler for anyone who intends to watch the series, but for those who don't and want some back story... I think the problem is that western media didn't really put a spotlight on these countries. So no one was really aware of what had happened. Once word started to spread about the attack in Beirut, people still didn't give a shit. There wasn't a sudden "OMG that's awful too" moment. We had ...

Re: Fallout 4
New games in the UK usually start at £40 and drop slowly over the months. PC games are between £30-£35. Special editions can be anything between £50-£200 depending on what they come with. The new Halo, with Spartan Locke and Chief statues, is £200. Fuck that.

A quick google seems to suggest up to 60 million died under Stalin's USSR regime. Not that I care all that much. Most empires have ridiculous body counts. Counting the conflicts the US/UK and Russia are involved in with the middle east, those counts keep going up.

you have more potential for curtailing danger if people aren't allowed guns and you spot someone carrying, than if everyone is carrying and you don't know what to assume. I don't see how you can make this an issue.

Yup. But I don't suppose the empire would have lasted much longer anyway. Even the Soviet Union broke apart. Problem with the UK is at times we still think we're a world superpower, and we're not...except for the nukes we have.
