Happened around my highway sadly. The whole hill collapsed on them, it's terrible. I wanted to go out to help there, since is quite near, but I really don't have the heart for it, so I will only donate stuff.

There are a lot of stories of dogs digging people out. Even one from a kid that apparently his family is missing and he got dig out by his dog, now he can't keep the dog because he is going to a refugee site which doesn't allow it.

And it's really sad, this whole country is sad. Especially when you look at the area in google maps and you see the wealth surrounding them including a mansion that belongs to the vicepresident.

I live on top of that mountain, so I'm safe from everything except an earthquake, that area was a marginalized village where people "invaded" the land, so basically they lived on a cliff. So something like that is usually common for people with extremely low resources that settle anywhere they can. Mostly people who have been evicted by the government so they could sell the lands to foreign companies, politicians or monopolistic corporations.
