The oldest question in the universe, hidden in plain sight:
Why do atheists celebrate Christmas?

Because no one is really an atheist. The only thing atheists don't believe in is atheism.

Why do athiests celebrate CHRISTmas?* is what I think you mean
Re: The oldest question in the universe, hidden in plain sight:
It's a holiday you get gits you eat you drink you have fun with friends and family what's not to celebrate?
Also it's tradition as if most families are not totally atheist so probably most people did celebrate as kids and as adults keep doing it especially if they have kids, cause it's hard telling your kid that no you can't have a tree or santa won't come to your house and you won't get a present.
finally it's kind of harmless.

I dunno - most of the Christians asking why atheists celebrate CHRISTmas are gits, so we do get 'em this time of year. It's part of the charm of the season isn't it?Unvoiced_Apollo wrote:I'm not sure I want gits. Well, fuck. I should've clicked on this thread before making my previous post.
I guess this is payback or karma or something for stealing your thunder on the story-telling folk songs thread.
