Exciting trailer, terrible movie

Post by Cassius Clay »

The remix of 'The Day The Whole World Went Away' used in the trailer was incredible. Never seen a more badass trailer.

That badass gun cocking sound in the elevator when the bond theme starts playing. After 'Casino Royale's' success, people were pumped for the next one. I remember this trailer being shown at 'The Dark Knight' screening. It really commanded attention...everybody promptly shut the fuck up and watched in awe. Too bad the movie sucked.

Saw this in 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Didn't even realize I was watching a Superman trailer until I saw the cape. But, Superman hasn't been done justice yet(Like Nolan did with the Batman character). The character is still boring. Too polished and clean...no personality. Trailer tricked us into thinking they were giving him some edge, some depth. Especially with the shot of him hitchhiking, 'cause he looks like he's got a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Maybe a little bit of a sarcastic personality. But, nope...still same old boring Superman.

The more I read about the new DC Cinematic Universe, the worse things look. I'll eventually watch Batman v. Superman but I don't have high hopes.

Those are all great examples, since I was hyped for all three and disappointed by all three. Especially Man of Steel. It looked so good based on the trailers, and it ended up being utter shit.

I'm not sure what is worse; Affleck or the fact that they are including Cyborg and the misnamed Shazam.

Yeah... I've don't know what to expect with Batman/Superman. They've released good and bad trailers.

Black people should protest that their representation in Justice League will be a second-rate character like Cyborg when they could have gone with either the John Stewart Green Lantern or The Martian Manhunter whose human identity, Jon Jones, has been black more often than not. Or they could have gone with both.

Man of Steel was probably the most painfully disappointing. I was really rooting for them...I wanted so badly for them to get it right. 'Cause even though I find Superman character boring as an adult, he was probably my favorite childhood superhero. Batman ended up winning that one. Spiderman has always been my favorite from marvel.
