I can't wrap my head around the level of cowardice it takes to shoot a bunch of unarmed people and then killing yourself because you can't handle facing the world.

It's getting to the point where we need a more immediate strategy and we're going to have start encouraging people to take a risk and jump mass shooters instead of scattering. That's if gun control is so fucking difficult.

That coward motherfucker that killed the singer in Orlando had the presence of mind to make sure he killed himself while he was being tackled(instead of trying to shoot the person tackling him). He was probably planning on killing more people, but once he realized he was being jumped he panicked at the thought of being captured and killed himself. That's how important it is to these people to not be taken alive. They are such cowards to the core that once they see a cultural shift where people are standing up to them (and keeping them alive), it suddenly wouldn't be worth it to them.

Since Omar Mateen was already being investigated by the FBI for ties to ISIS, I'd say this is yet another failure of federal law-enforcement. But I've already seen enough "blame Muslims", "blame gays" , "blame gun-owners" threads on various sites that I realized I'm becoming immune to the reactionary do-nothing approach.
