I'm seeing that word all over of late being brandished as though it were the ultimate insult.

Sociologically I'm interested in how certain insults are only insulting if you share the insulter's worldview. Someone on IMDb just called another poster a 'beta virgin', but I doubt the target actually cares.

I've seen 'cuck' being used as an insult a lot in the gaming community, particularly at my beloved Jim Sterling who just seems gently baffled by it.

It's the kind of site that's so over-the-top offensive and wrong about everything that it becomes surreal and kind of hilarious and sad, but that's always subjective. Then again I only skimmed through that one page and 'The Paleo-Game Cult', because wtf. That quote I extracted was from the site's description.

Any idea if those guys are a relatively small segment of the male population that's disproportionately represented online, or have you encountered a significant number of them IRL?

(I still love the irony that they're using the red pill / blue pill classifications to spread their misogyny given that The Matrix was the creation of a couple of liberal lesbian trans women, one of whom is also a vegetarian.)

I have not, to my knowledge, encountered one of these guys IRL, although misogyny is a broad church and I've met some of its less zealous members in my personal life. I would estimate that men like your chap Omega Virgin are both significant and insignificant at the same time, i.e. that there are a lot of them in the world and they should not be written off as a handful of bad apples, but that they make up a small fraction of all the men in existence (to clarify, I am not saying that misogynists in general make up a small proportion of men, since casual and moderate misogyny are pretty much everywhere).

Yeah, I meant that particular brand of intense misogyny (vs other brands of intense misogyny like stoning women to death if they get raped. I hate humans.) I'm disturbed by the groupthink of that whole redpiller community, although this Omega Virgin dude thinks that redpillers are weaklings for being so desperate for affection from ~females~. They all use the same terminology and have the same grossly insular and faux-scientific clinical view of human sexual dynamics.

As a sexually frustrated virgin myself I can definitely empathise with their sexually frustrated virginhood and the way it can make people angry at innocent people, but they twist that to new depths of evil and bask in their narcissistic echo chamber convincing each other that they're the poor victims of oppressive hypergamous females conspiring to sleep with everyone but Nice Guys like them. I can understand the need for coping methods, because there's nothing fun about realising you got a bad deal in life and are likely confined to being forever alone, in some cases no matter what you do because perhaps you were just born horrendously ugly or socially incompetent or with physical/mental disabilities, and it's not your fault but you have to suck it up and deal with it while all the happy couples frolic around you - occasionally gloating - and society blasts you with love songs about how you can never be happy without sex and romance. But they're just avoiding the dark pit of self-hatred for the darker pit of everyone-including-self-hatred. And blaming women for something that is either no one's fault or their own or society's fault. I wish they'd just play Pokemon Go or something and wait for virtual reality.

(also, racism. I'm disproportionately disturbed by that whole acronym thing for interracial couples - like saying 'WMAF' (oh god i googled it, ew ew ew) to mean 'White Male Asian Female', as though life is some bizarre human breeding program, and then come up with all sorts of messed up theories involving how e.g. WMAF kids look more Asian and thus more ugly than AMWF offspring because Asian alpha female genes overwhelm those of their white beta male husbands who were not manly enough to attract the superior white females, which is NOT HOW GENETICS WORK. It's also so grossly US-centric and their theories would completely fall apart in, say, Asia. The most insecure nerdy Eurasian guy I know had an Asian dad and white mom, an union which according to those theories would only produce superior children full of confidence and pride that their dad rose above the limitations of his race and beat out other white alphas to successfully attract the holy grail of white females. Whereas this pair of twins with WMAF parents were the most popular kids in school and were working as part-time models and all the girls were falling over them, and did not seem the least bit ashamed that their weakling dad had to ~settle~ for an Asian female. but I digress.)
