So I'm reading facebook. A topic denouncing our problems all the way through the Spanish colonization.
And the Spanish people respond by saying "Stop criticizing us. Where do you think you come from?" "You owe us your last names."
What kind of ownership logic is that? I've never heard the English say to the Americans "Where do you come from?" As if they were gods all mighty that created them. What a bunch of self important jackasses! And if that will somehow erase all the exploitation we suffered/still suffer from them.

NOTE: I am generalizing, I'm aware not all Spanish idiots, are idiots like that.

I never heard anyone from the UK here joke like that. They usually joke about one being better than the other one and stuff. Which is funny.

The reply of one of my people was brilliant thought. He said "Well if that's the case, we give you back our last names and you give us back our gold!"
I can agree with that.
In my case the Spanish didn't even give me my last names. So I can say I owe them nothing. Not even the Spanish since the Spanish they speak is a step down from the Mexican/Guatemalan Spanish they taught us. So somewhere along the line, they even screwed their own language.

Probably because the Americans aren't being exploited by the English the same way we are by the Spanish.
My grandma was going to give me a doberman two years ago and had to cancel the idea because of a new law.... imported from Spain.
