I think Facebook probably plays a part as to why this place is so quiet now. I interact with a lot of you that way, or at least see what's going on in your lives in a definitely not creeper way. Though I guess Jordan just deleted his account, so that's one less

Ok so here i am yeah I'm on facebook a lot more and I have another writer's group that I belong to very ego boosting since you lot don't really appreciate my poems :)

I would not be opposed to creating a subreddit either, if people are interested? Seems like it would help alleviate some issues with the cost of maintaining the site.

Otherwise, we could also probably eliminate a bunch of the sub-forums. There are a lot of them and not many active users here.

My Shithole

My shithole has a history
The first free black country
The first slave revolt successfully
Blacks raised in dignity

My shithole has seen violence
But the taking of 20 innocents
By a youth that has lost his sense
Has never been an occurrence

My shithole has dignity
In the face of tragedy
We become a family
United in our fragility

My shithole has seen greed
Like every country indeed
Those in power rarely heed
The calls of the hungry in need

My shithole is certainly
Rampant with poverty
And the few lord it over the many
Brought to us by democracy

My shithole has a population
That surpasses 10 million
With hearts bigger than any nation
Who welcome you with affection

My country has artistry
In the face of diversity
Writers and painters creatively
Whose works will live eternally

My shithole has beauty
Lovely beaches a plenty
Mountains with names like Furcy
And many sites most holy

My shithole isn't perfect that's true
We're struggling to see the day through
But that's not what's blocking your view
It's our color that has stumped you

My shithole will not welcome you
My shithole is too good for you
My shithole rejects you

Still lurking occasionally, but in the recent threads I didn't find much to comment on, given I don't have a Twitter account and follow American politics less closely than European politics.

On the one hand, yes, you can read it; but the apps or browsers are really hard to navigate when you don't have an account. And I believe that for some Tweets you have to be registered to read the comments.

But even if I was registered: Plenty of Tweets linked in the "Tweet of the week" thread are Tweets where I don't know why it was linked in the first place. Tweeters I never heard from; and a content where context is necessary to get it... Mostly I have a WTF reaction to them.

Here is what I have been up to:

Herding cats...I mean players... through a D&D game
Playing a character in another D&D game on a forum because I need my player character fix
Learning how to cook more vegetarian meals
Strength training
Taking 5 goddamnfucking gym classes a week
Dating someone (just had our 4th last night)

So my RL is kind of booked and online stuff is taking a back seat other than my occasional Facebook post/argument
