How to tell if a nature documentary is worth watching.

Post by CashRules »

If it's narrated by David Attenborough then it's worth watching. If it's not narrated by David Attenborough then it's not worth watching.

Liam Neeson narrated a couple and that's why I watched but yeah, Attenborough is the bumdiggity.

I've also seen a few narrated by Paul McGann and they were pretty decent. So I guess we have to concede that this is one area where the Brits are superior. I hated the U.S. version of the Planet Earth series because they replaced Attenborough with Sigourney Weaver. That was Godawful.

Oprha Winfrey did a narrative and I hated it with every bone in my body.

The English accent lends itself well to two things. 1) being an awesome villain, and b) sounding particularly well educated.

What? You don't like the idea of comedians by the likes of John C. Reilly or Tina Fey trying to sound amused as they note cutesy actions of the animals they're narrating for?

Michael Palin's travel documentaries are quite enjoyable.
The agonies which are have their origin in the ecstasies which might have been.
