I saw another "new" animal

I looked outside at the bird feeder in my backyard and saw a bird that was solid black with the exception of a red & yellow patch on it's shoulders.

I looked it up and saw it was a red-winged blackbird. The site said it was one of the most abundant species in North America, so I wondered why I had yet to see it. Then I saw images of the females and immature males. Those were plentiful on my backyard.

Just seems weird I've never seen a mature male until now (though to you gals, it probably doesn't seem weird ).

They also have some of the most beautiful singing chirps also.

They should be exterminated as vermin, no survivors.
