New DVDs! I haven't seen most of these, so * by the ones I have.
StarCom - A disc given to me by a friend of mine; contains 3 episodes of this 80s cartoon.
A Christmas Story2 - Also given to me by my friend, I wouldn't have bought this.
Total Recall - The remake; just because I have and like the original.
Joe - Because Nicolas Cage is the man.
Sharknado - Because.
Hanna - Been wanting to see this ever since the previews.
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington - A classic.
*The Strangers - The best home invasion movie. More suspense than slasher; done very well.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower - This was also free; don't know much about it, but it looks interesting.
Dredd - I've heard this is better than the original. And Carl Urban is great.
*World's Finest (Batman/Superman cartoon) - Great movie; from one of the best animated shows of all time.
Super - Looks interesting, though I'm uncomfortable with the rape scene.
*Kick-Ass 2 - I actually think I like this better than the first, which I like a lot.
*Jobs - I think Kutcher did great here. The movie has it's flaws, but I like it a lot more than most people.
*The Shadow - A childhood favorite; been looking for this one for a long time.
*My Girl 2 - Not as good as the first of course. But I've been looking for this DVD for a very long time.
The Hudsucker Proxy - Finally, my "white whale". I have been looking for this movie for a long time; it's been the top of my wishlist. It's the only Coen Brothers movie that I didn't own.

The Total Recall remake was not as good as the original. Though Kate Beckinsale was really hot.

Hanna is, er, kinda boring. Although I suppose it depends what you're expecting. For a large amount of the film, nothing really happens. Kinda like the middle hour of Inglorious Basterds.

Perks of Being a Wallflower I thought sucked. It felt like pretentious bullshit and I couldn't pay attention to it. I liked Super, but I don't know how problematic the rape scene is. I just know the crazy side-kick rapes the main dude. I haven't seen it in like 5 years and haven't read any discussions about it.

Re: Just got back from Boston, which means one thing
Well - I really liked "The perks of being a wall flower" - Love Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller and both were very good in this, Emma Watson is ok, but never quite delivers on her reputation given she would probably be the biggest name in this cast.
Sure the story is a bit pretentious but I didn't think it was distractingly so, sound track was just awesome. Watch it and make up your own mind I guess.
As for the rest:
StarCom - Never heard of it .
A Christmas Story2 - Never heard of it .
Total Recall - Was ok - fun enuff, not as good as the first and the first could have been a whole heap better if they executed on the original script and director .. Verhoeven balls this up a bit by making it a Arrnold movie and I figured the remake would bring us back a bit to the source material, which is kinda did but still ended up felt derivative of the 80's movie rather than the Phillip K Dick story.
Joe - Nick Cage bugs me - and I've never heard of this movie.
Sharknado - all kinds of awful but kiinda fun for it.
Hanna - Really did not deliver on my expectations. Felt good enuff at the start and thru the middle but fell to bits at the end.
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington - A classic indeed
*The Strangers - Haven't seen it in an age but do remember enjoying it. Like a good suspense/horror and this falls into that category
Dredd - Its better than the original but still not that great. Popcorn flick that was immediately forgotten after the first watch
*World's Finest (Batman/Superman cartoon) - Never heard of it
Super - Never heard of it .
*Kick-Ass 2 -Enjoyable enuff, Jim Carey put me off a bit and I still liked the first more.
*Jobs - I'd agree with your assessment, its not a terrific movie but its also not bad. Ashton delivered a convincing enuff Steve jobs. The main issue I had with this is how much important stuff they just skipped with all their time jumps.
*The Shadow - Never heard of it.
*My Girl 2 - Haven't seen the first or this .
The Hudsucker Proxy - Hudsucker is awesome quirky "Its for kids:" became a favourite personal Meme for years.

World's finest is a Batman/Superman crossover from theanimated New Adventures of Batman & Superman continuity, which is also part of the 90's Batman: TAS continuity.
