Jafar: Goal - Attain magic lamp. Overthrow Agrabah and become Sultan. Methods & Actions: He is a master of disguise and tricked Aladdin into giving him the lamp as the Cave of Wonders was collapsing. He had snake staff which would allow him to hypnotize and manipulate others, but was subsequently broken. After obtaining lamp, wishes to be sultan and then the most powerful sorcerer in the world. Sends Aladdin to a far-off arctic region. Keeps the Sultan & Jasmine as pets/servants. Attempts to make Jasmine his queen.

Frollo: Goal - make mankind as religiously pure as he views himself to be. Method & Actions: Attempted genocide of the Gypsies, aside from Esmeralda, whom he lusts after (tries to burn her at the stake when she refuses his advances) He burns Paris in search for her, including a house with an innocent family locked in. He also is an expert in torture, as is seen in this quote: "Ease up. Wait between lashes. Otherwise, the old sting will dull him to the new". Abuses Quasimodo by making him view himself to be a monster as well as through public humiliation.

Frollo. Why he is better than Jafar:

- Frollo isn't magic, he's just a dick. Now, you take away Jafar's magic/lamp/whatever and he's pretty ineffectual (see below, he can't even do sinister viziering competently) whereas Frollo is powered by the forces of just being a religious bigot genocidal fuckboy and there's no shelf life on that.

- Jafar literally cannot outwit a doddery little old man, even though usurpation is pretty much textbook grand-viziering and he has the power of hypnosis on his side. How many years has he been in the sultan's service? Jafar needs to step up bc he is making me question how badly he really wants this.

- Jafar straight-up does not recognise that Aladdin is the same guy he hired to enter the Cave of Wonders until he sees the lamp in Prince Ali's possession. Jafar. Son. Are you even taking this villaining serously.

- Jafar has a wacky animal sidekick. Frollo doesn't need a wacky animal sidekick to burn down peasant hovels.

- Frollo kinda has a full-on musical nervous breakdown at one point and then he decides to double-down on all the gypsy murder and perving and I respect his commitment. He had an out but he didn't take it.

- Frollo's gross pervert game is stronger. Yeah, Jafar may have made Jasmine dress up like Princess Leia but did he threaten to burn her alive if she wouldn't let him touch her butt? No, because Jafar needs to raise his game.

- Genocide. Jafar is very bad at genocide. 'But Aels, Jafar isn't even trying to genocide!' Nor is Frollo. Frollo is not trying. FROLLO IS DOING.

- Frollo: tried to drop a baby down a well.

- Frollo: voiced by Tony Jay, thereby making him win all competitions outright.

- Frollo: has his adoptive disabled son tormented by French peasants to teach him a lesson about being a sassypants. Also because YOLOBFOAC (You Only Live Once Before Falling Off A Cathedral)

- Frollo: burns down Paris because why the fuck not

- also Frollo spend like two decades psychologically manipulating someone presumably for kicks. I mean, I'd say 'So Quasimodo becomes a loyal and devoted servant to him' but Quasimodo mostly hangs around Notre Dame talking to gargoyles so his utility as a servant is kinda limited.

Before I make this official, I need to know the reasoning behind the 3 votes. Was it simply familiarity, or did you find something about Jafar that did make him the better villain?
