The sad day will be when we get to the point where they become so common place they that stop reporting them. I fear that possibly closer than you think.

Obviously those other 4 should have carried guns so they could prevent the killing of one student by killing another student.

This one doesn't really need to be categorized as a school shooting, which has been used to refer to someone going on a killing spree without any prior altercation. This guy was in an argument and decided to just shoot the people he was arguing with. Still not a good thing, but not the same thing. Of course, the fact that this is being reported as the same thing makes me wonder how many of the other 294,731,686 "school shootings" this year were actually the Adam Lanza "asshole walks into a school and starts shooting people" type and how many, like this one, were an argument that just happened to be at a school ended with some jackass deciding to end the argument by shooting the people he was arguing with.

Yeah, that's not a school shooting; it's a shooting at a school.

Had a school shooting in my town couple days ago. Douchebag 1 sets up victim with douchebag 2 for a drug deal, however DB1 knew DB2 was actually meeting with victim so he could shoot him because he was pissed about something that happened at some point in the past. So, victim is brought to DB2 by DB1 and then DB1 backs off knowing what is going to happen and sure enough, DB2 shoots and kills victim.

DB1 and victim are/were NIU students. DB2 was just your run of the mill drug dealer. They were/are white males. Considering this is not a "mass shooting" the media is outlining the DB's as thugs with lots of comments calling for execution. There's not much chatter about the victim.

This is the kind of thing I was talking about, and it's so obviously disingenuous that it's sickening. This was a murder. That's bad enough, they don't need to add "school shooting" as a description. The media and government have already conspired to put a certain image in the minds of the general public whenever they hear the phrase "school shooting" and that image is the Sandy Hook/Umpqua Community College type of mass murder where the perpetrator goes an a shooting spree shooting which ever targets he finds first or whichever ones meet a certain criteria regardless of their individual identity. Then the media and government conspire again to term any shooting that takes place at a school as a school as a 'school shooting" after they have already intentionally planted that image in the public's minds. This is pure dishonesty and makes a serious problem look even worse than it is. It also serves as proof that the Democratic Party is every bit as corrupt as the Republican Party and where the Republicans have pure stupidity the Democrats have brazen dishonesty.

Cash's last statement is why I started voting for myself.

Now there has been a shooting at Tennessee State University in Nashville that was caused because somebody got pissed about losing at dice and killed one person and wounded two others. Rather than address the actual problem, media and the Democratic party will spin this into another "school shooting" when it has nothing at all in common with Sandy Hook or Columbine. The same thing would have happened had the same people been shooting dice in the back room of a shoe store. But somehow my guns will be made out to be the fucking problem.
