Bad news: I've joined a gym & working out for the passed 4 months and I'm still the same weight.
Good News: My friend recently asked if I lost weight.

Muscle weighs more than fat.

My boss recently told me I'd lost so much weight and I was like '...I put on half a stone?'

If you want to drop weight start running. Apparently is what's cool these days and it does work.
Of course I will never do that because I'm not a wannabe cool girl (I'm a natural cool girl
![wink [wink]](./images/smilies/wink.gif)
) and besides I'm already thin so fuck running.

I believe that the good news encompasses this, looking learner while maintaining the same weight. I'm happy with my progression.

So this. I started going to the gym a couple years ago; and did weight lifting and other strength exorcises for a while. Not only didn't I lose weight, I didn't feel more in shape either. Then I switched to running. Lost 30 pounds, BAM.

Yeah my friend lost a lot of weight in two months. He was always a little chubby but now he looks quite decent. It's amazing and last time I saw him was the end of November. And he says he is trying to eat more healthy too, but he is not dieting. Just cutting off the unhealthy.

I lost weight with a mixture of cardio and weightlifting and body weight exercises. Think I've put a little back on but there's definitely more muscle there. Most of my lifts have gone up a reasonable amount. Past year has seen my deadlift go from 165kg to 200kg.

My reaction to this is to eat a porterhouse with bacon.

Well if you only ever do weight lifting I can imagine. But I do running as part of my warm up, and sometimes to throw a wrench into everything I'll throw in running a mile on the treadmill. I feel more in shape than I did when I tried running. Everyone's different I guess. I don't remember if I mentioned it on the other board or not but I've lost 4% body fat, which doesn't sound like much but when you go from 18% to 14% the difference is quite noticeable.

That is indeed key. As most of you know, I've started cooking most of my dinners (breakfast is usually juice and cereal, with an eggdish after my weekday workouts, lunch is a sammich or a salad). And learning how to cook, I have the most say as to what the fuck goes into a lot of my meals and it's definitely made a difference. Now I just need to find a good Filipino chicken adobo recipe.

I agree with OGL. That's how far things have sunk, I'm agreeing with a Scot.

I actually rephrased that sentence a few times and changed the words just to make it sound proper and I still fucked it up. I'm sorry.

I like fuck running. It can take a while to coordinate the steps, but it's well worth it.
