Meanwhile in my country, netizens shame 12 year old for being "immature"

Apparently she called her friends stupid on social media. One commenter decided this meant she should be raped.
23.8 thousand shares, with lots of adults being smug and self-congratulatory over how they're more mature and sensitive than a 12 year old kid. Plus some bullying to the point she deleted her account. It's the kind of thing that makes me want to move to the US, but I hear things aren't much better there.

On the bright side, I just ate a cupcake and it was great.

To be fair, most 12-year-olds are immature.

I think the point is that they shouldn't be shamed by a bunch of strangers for being what it's perfectly natural for them to be.

It's not natural actually for a 12 year old to be so condescending and belittling. She is not only immature but spoiled. However I agree that it's way more immature for adults to descend to this level of harassing a 12 year old for being a brat.

I'm mostly against the idea of a bunch of immature idiots on the Internet making fun of someone for being an immature idiot. It's the hypocrisy and projection of it.
Shaming is generally a good tactic and I'm for it in certain cases but not like that.

My first post was supposed to be a joke. My second post was totally serious though.
