She mouthed off about the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team having a "bunch of foreign players". What she meant was naturalized U.S. citizens who just happen to have been born somewhere else. She might want to learn how citizenship works before opening her mouth again. Then she complain about the fact that at least one of her own teammates on the women's team, Sydney Leroux, wasn't born in the U.S. At the very least I guess Wambach thinks Ted Cruz isn't qualified to run for President. She'd be right about that.

I've see that attitude often enough here, where a lot of our international players over the years have been born and raised in England or Scotland to Irish parents, and so viewed in some quarters as 'not Irish enough'. If she wanted to make a point that Jurgen Klinsmann was not focused enough on developing young American players then she should have done that, she didn't need to qualify the point with 'they took er jerbs'.
