Quentin Tarantino is a sack of shit tho.

I don't really know anything about him besides his movies (and that post I made a while back). I fully agree with any argument that calls him a sack of shit based on Django Unchained alone, 'cuz that shit was awful in so many ways.

There's something about Tarantino that always bothered me long before Django. I've always been taken aback by his excessive and unnecessary use of the n-word in his movies...and I was recently reading something about that, but didn't finish reading it(so, I'm not even sure if it's a good article). It seems like he just likes using the n-word and tries to justify it through his movies and fucked up characters.

I also, a few years ago, saw a conversation Arthur Chu was having on twitter with some other folks about Tarantino's motivations as a writer/director(as well as others). I believe it was Chu who mentioned that Tarantino's primary motivation is disgust, and he perceives life as cheap and empty(death is a joke...or something like that). That disgust is an ancient emotion/instinct that predates emotions like fear and anger. And the thing about disgust is that, though it is very useful for criticism and take downs, it stands for nothing. Cynical criticism that never takes a genuine stand is empty, pretentious and masturbatory. That's kind of the sense I've always gotten from Tarantino. And that's the thing about Django too...it did not feel like it was taking a sincere stance against slavery and white supremacy...but using slavery as an excuse to express self-righteous disgust in humanity. That's why his use of the n-word feels simultaneously critical(on a superficial level) and like he's relishing in it's use.
