How about an actual gaming topic.

I love playing Skyrim with mods (yes, I'm still playing a game that was released in 2011), but goddam. It's so fucking frustrating when I continuously get stuck on terrain/NPC's during combat because you can only move in eight directions at one constant speed. I know they make remotes for the PC, but fuck that because hot keys. I googled this once and saw a keyboard with an analog stick on it. Anybody tried it? Or heard good/bad things about it?

I've only ever played turn-based PC games for such a reason. FPS are impossible with four fucking keys. And I don't care enough to invest in newfangled glib glob.

I still play Civ IV with the BTS expansion. That's 2007. I still play Madden 06 because it's the last year they made a PC version.

I still play Super Mario World.

Pfff, they're still making mods for Baldur's Gate II (which came out in 2000) and I'm still playing them. It's one of the best RPGs of all time so everyone should play BG2. Go do it. Now. Stop reading this. BG2.

Also a keyboard with an analogue stick sounds bananas. It sounds horribly unwieldy to use. I don't mind using direction keys for PC games. It's sometimes a little clumsy but I'm used to the days of playing on my family computer where, as the family's only lefty, I used to cross my hands over the keyboard when I played. And if you're thinking 'But why didn't you just move the mouse to the other side?', I swear to God that it didn't even cross my seven year old mind. I just thought that you *had* to have the mouse on the right and I got so used to it that having the mouse on the left now has taken a lot of getting used to.

You have to have the mouse on the right. Anything else is an abomination.
