I liked it, definitely felt bummed about the character.

The consensus as far as I've seen is that it was moving. I thought it was a little confusing as to what exactly was happening. Which Hodor was the victim of wargery? Both past and present? How does warging into past Hodor allow Bran to control present Hodor? What the fuck?

I guess it's magic, so whatevs.

I was watching with my girlfriend and she figured it out before I did. As Hodor was struggling to open the door I said, "If they make it out Hodor's going to have hold that door". I said "Hold that door, Hodor!", amused at the sort of play on words. Then my girlfriend said "that must be where the name comes from", long befofe Meera started yelling "hold the door". And I watched the rest of the sequence like this:
