In my previous home there was once a centipede on the toilet seat. I think that beats toilet snakes.

I just read about a pre-transition trans woman who was harassed while playing safe and using the male bathrooms, because some angry guy thought she was a trans man and said he wished they were in North Carolina. Can't win.

How it it not completely obvious to everyone that this is a clearly expected outcome of laws like this?

Plus so many cases of non-trans people being harassed (in one case a woman was assaulted and injured by security) because they were deemed to look too masculine or feminine for that bathroom. Another woman reported seeing another woman peek through the door gap at her, and when she angrily confronted her was told that the other woman just wanted to check she wasn't a man. It's surreal. The collateral damage has been staggering, and so far, not one actual pervert has been caught, while a lot more people are being perved on to ensure they aren't perverts.

What's ironic is that of all the cases of transgender people sexually assaulting people that I know of, almost all were trans men assaulting women. I mean, this is a demographic that's statistically more likely to be full of testosterone, attracted to women, and deeply insecure about their manhood. I also recently chatted to a trans man who said he wanted to transition but continue using the female bathrooms because he liked looking at girls in there.

These laws are basically enabling the very things they were created to prevent. I'm morbidly fascinated to see what the end result of all this is going to be.
