I got a ticket for the 6 o'clock IMAX showing of Secret Life of Pets hoping the premium might keep the rugrats & parents at bay. Didn't work. /halfjoking.

Though I guess the only to avoid it is to go to a late showing.

I have seen people bring their very small children to an evening screening of Return of the King like, yes, I am sure your little shits are going to behave themselves for three hours. Avoiding children is impossible. They turn up at my workplace too.

Return of the King might be one of the only ways to get children to sit still for three hours, besides drugging them.

They did not sit still, they dicked about and compromised my very important Middle Earth feelings.

On the bright side, when the movie started, they were good.

I was watching Chris Stuckmann's "Rant on Annoying Moviegoers part 2". He was talking about what he experiencing during The Conjuring 2.

He heard one adult person saying "oh my god" at every little scene. Another adult made clicking noises at every scary setup not (not jump scare), but scenes setting the tension for the scared. The most well behaved in the audience? Two 6 year old kids that came in with their parents.

It's pretty sad when kids know how to act better than adults. Either that, or they were just so scared shitless they couldn't make a sound.
