Nah, I checked another page with videos and they weren't working. There's something wrong with my browser.

It was on mine too. I'm technologically illiterate. I guess it's the board. Whatever, the url's working now.

The video works for me.

I watched the whole thing; and I haven't decided whether this guy is serious or trolling.
But hey, that's the point of Poe's law...

Something's wrong with the YouTube embedding for some reason. Can anyone see any embedded YouTube videos on the site?

So this video's pretty much a pitch-perfect parody of the Youtube "rationalist" atheist anti-SJW crowd (Thunderf00t, the amazing atheist, sargon of akkhad, etc) and it's fucking hilarious. It perfectly hits all the right points these people make in tone and content. Probably funnier if you're familiar with them.

It also makes fun of the anti-philosophy/anti-history/anti-intellectual attitudes of the "new atheist" crowd in general.

Videos are fixed! I didn't do a single thing to change anything, but I'm taking credit for it anyway.

Then DA must have used [url] instead of [youtube]. That's the kind of thing you should expect from a Trump supporter.

He edited his post from "youtube" to "url" because the youtube embedding wasn't working.

Sounds like an excuse to me.

It's pretty well-done. The most aggravating thing about those types is how they fetishize "logic" and "rationality", but lack the integrity to honestly practice either.

And they are all the same, like they are being produced in a factory somewhere.

Yeah, that's definitely something I've noticed. All these "rational" anti-SJW anti-feminist Youtube people are almost exactly identical, and they almost always make the exact same type of videos over and over again. It's actually sort of creepy when you think about it. I don't really know what's going on.

They've all been primed by larger society(and their own damn families) to think/feel a certain way and value certain things that maintain the status quo. As for the reasons they all seem to say the exact same things, I was going to blame in on the internet(because they internet allows them to group together and reinforce/rationalize their bullsh!t to each other), but I've seen situations, years ago, where people have used typical racist "talking points" even before they became popular things to say on the internet. Where is this type of eerie programming coming from(where people are literally saying the exact same bullsh!t) if it's not just the internet? I suspect they are just inevitable excuses/justifications/rationalizations that stem from natural defense mechanisms. I remember I posted a link that showed angry letters white people wrote to MLK. They were saying almost the exact same thing white people say today!

The other thing I wanted to add about these types is that their obsession with "logic" is connected to some childish distinction they make between emotion and reason. As if the two can't coexist. This is something I think is a major foundation of New Atheism, anti-SJW, alt-right thinking.

Yet, these motherfuckers are the ones that allow their own petty feelings to guide their thinking in an irrational way. As usual, they tend to be 100 times more guilty of the very things they say about "the other side". I've never seen such projection.

^ My sister and I disagree on a lot of things but we have recently bonded over our hatred of Rational Men who take the viewpoint that they are guided by reason and logic and anyone who disagrees with them is biased/blinded by emotion. You see them a lot in gender discussions, they feel that women are too emotional, cannot discuss things without getting too upset because they make everything personal, and have an agenda, whereas they - rational man actors - have no agenda, no illogical emotional reasoning, and have not in any way been influenced by thousands of years of sociocultural programming. I have seen dudes genuinely claim that they, being dudes, are the only neutral voice on discussions of things like patriarchy or rape culture or whatever (because men have absolutely zero interest in upholding a status quo that places them at the top of the tree, natch). I've seen it with topics on race and sexuality too - POC and queer people are obviously an interested party and therefore not able to step back from their emotions to discuss topics with any rationality.

(For bonus lulz, my sister's partner is peak Rational Man and I don't know if she's even noticed. This is the guy who made really shitty comments on rape, claimed that feminists are illogical and prone to ridiculous emotive statements, and then immediately followed up by saying that feminists want women to be raped so that they can use it for political point scoring. I hate him, in case it's been too long since I mentioned it).

I used to be tangentially part of "the atheist community" when I was an older teenager and I was probably around a lot of those people without realizing it. It's only when atheism got boring and those people all turned their sights on feminism and social justice instead (i.e. things that I've always liked) that I've finally started noticing how weird and shitty they were all along.

And I think it's funny. I am literally an autistic twenty-something straight white male too, exactly these people, and I fucking hate these freaks.
