Six Nations

The rugby starts tomorrow! Any other rugby fans out there? For the Americans amongst us it's a tiny bit like American Football in that the ball is roughly the same shape, but it's played by real men because it's much more violent and they don't wear all that nancy-boy armour.

Hopefully we'll see Scotland do a little better this year - our squads pretty much up to full strength and we did pretty well in the Autumn friendlies. Obviously we're not going to win it... but if we beat Italy (I hate the fact that that's not a certainty) there's always a slim chance we could beat Ireland or France. Maybe? Okay - probably not...

We won! And (until Wales beat Italy tomorrow) we're top of the table! How good is that?

Living the dream or what? Make the most of it - it won't last...

I actually played rugby when I was in college!

Hopefully I can catch some of the games on tv this weekend.

What position did you play? I used to play second row or occasionally flanker.

This weekend has a couple of great games - Wales v England on Saturday at 4.50 and France v Scotland at 3pm on Sunday.

I played loosehead prop and on a couple occasions winger (mostly for shits and giggles if we were blowing out a team and wanted to get our backups some playing time).

We won! We beat Wales! This could be the start of the renaissance of Scottish Rugby....
