I dunno, hearing that this cockroach that digs into our skulls still lives is actually pretty frightening.

Something similar happened to a classmate of mine in gradeschool. He'd been complaining of an earache one day and when he finally went to a doctor they found a roach lodged in his ear. Granted, not as bad as the bugger getting inside your skull behind your eyes, but still... *shudders*

Yeah, I saw a few articles quoting doctors who said that roaches going up noses is practically unheard of, but roaches burrowing into ears is not that uncommon, especially in the US.
