RIP Robert Osborne

I think everyone who was a fan of Turner Classic Movies is familiar with this guy. Unfortunately he's passed away.

The man always spoke with such enthusiasm for the movies and their history, and helping contextualize them for audiences. Probably the biggest loss for film appreciation since Ebert passed away.

Read about this on IMDb2. To c/p what I wrote there:

TCM was like manna during my budding cinephile years when my only other sources for classic/foreign films were local Blockbuster/Hollywood Video; ie, before the age of Netflix and torrents. I'd still tune in occasionally and always loved hearing his intros and even watching his interviews. He will definitely be missed.

RIP
