Not really. This is why I am eternally tired of people referring to Pope Francis as a cool Pope, cos, you know, he is still the Pope and there is a real limit on how cool the Vatican gets.

Yeah, I made a very public opinion on facebook about how this guy is just talk and no do. It was risky since I'm "catholic".

All of his talk and the Church has not shifted it's official position on any topic as far as I can see. He has started to lose his street cred with some of his recent utterances though, like the blasphemy getting you a punch in the mouth thing.

My parents totally dislike him cuz they are old time catholics and they think he is just caving to social pressures and that the church should never change traditions just because the rest of the world is changing.

So, I'll give him credit for making them dislike him.
