It's supposed to be a strike against gas prices, but i'ts just an excuse for rioting and looting.
I'm home I'm safe. Just tired of all the upheavals.

Is the gas monopolized over there?
Over here it is and even if the gas prices have lowered, they are still quite expensive compared to what it should be. But you know, monopolies.

nope no monopoly but it's a political section egging the people up telling them that the price of gas has fallen everywhere but here. We haven't raised gas prices in 5 years... even when it rose elsewhere. Now it's been lowered. but they want the government to lowered it by 50%. And it's the second cheapest gas in the Caribbean. it's a mess.
Anyways thanks to you and to gendo for caring.

Jesus - strikes there are a different thing than strikes here - we just can't catch the train for a day or are deprived of whatever other service they are striking over,. I've never seen it turn into a full blown looting exercise.
Stay safe!
