Meh, this isn't really out of the ordinary as an example of stupid shit people say about communism. Often when I hear people claim that communism/Stalin killed a hundred million people, and I ask where they got those numbers, they actually include the Nazi soldiers who died invading Russia in World War II. Yes, they actually count Nazi soldiers invading Russia as some of the Victims of Communism/Stalin. You can't top that.

Just out of curiosity, what source(s) do you trust for communist/socialist body counts?

None. I have given up on the idea that anyone actually knows or can estimate how many people socialist states have killed.

My aunt, and to a lesser degree my Grandmother, fall for pretty much any outlandish story they read on the internet. The other day she was posting about car thieves putting $100 bills on the handles of cars that were laced with chemicals that would instantly cause you to black out. I was going to tell her that there's just no way there's a chemical that can do that, but it's gotten to the point where I have to pick and choose which ones I respond to so I don't let on that I think she's...not very bright.

She also spells "lose" like "loose." She has a master's and used to be an educator.

She won't listen to Snopes either, factcheck.org, politifact, etc because they are all biased liberal websites. Meanwhile, she'll believe anything from LiberalsEatBabies.com. I think last I checked Fox News was too liberal for her.
