then today I woke up to this whole bunch of spam:

I googled '2270 Subtropic', and it turns out it's not her address after all. I found a thread apparently from the same person, possibly talking to herself:

On the one hand I'm slightly concerned about her claims that Keanu hurt her and ruined her life and then tried to deny it, especially in light of all that's gone down in Hollywood recently. But on the other hand if she's convinced that I'm Keanu and is blaming me for the actions of other fans (whom she also believes are Keanu), I don't know how much I can believe. Still, the idea of a celebrity abusing victims and then doing something to turn them crazy so no one would believe them is chilling.

Oh man, after I blocked her she signed up at my website and now I'm bracing myself for more spam. I could delete her account, but she could just make another one.

I'm starting to think she has multiple personality disorder, because I found more threads of her talking to herself under different names and arguing about things. Plus she'd previously left a bunch of graphic sexual messages on my guestbook and then emailed me being mad for allowing someone to post such material on my site; after I deleted it I found her on that other forum thanking another one of her sock puppets (whom she addressed with my real name) for deleting the posts.

And now I regret using my personal email to reply to her (I can't add the other one to my phone), because now she knows my name, is completely unhinged, and hates me for no reason. And then another poster I knew long ago let slip that I was trans, and now I'm being stalked by a crazy person who knows too much and thinks I'm working for Keanu or am secretly Keanu and am rebuffing her / helping him cover up after ruining her life in unspecified ways.

I could do without this excitement in my life.

So this is becoming far bigger than I would have thought. After a tearful rant she sent an email with her personal information and passwords, saying that it's mine and she did all this for me and she loves me etc. So, naturally, I went into her email account, since she was practically telling me to and I'm obedient that way, and in her Sent folder I found more of those emails she's been sending to other webmasters of Keanu fansites whom she likewise believes are all Keanu playing a cruel trick on her. There were various close-up shots of cleavage and other sexy pictures accompanied with sexual comments, which was a bit awkward because I was looking through this at work, plus more personal details like her passport number, plus repeated pleas to Jeff to refund her donation because she needed it for food and shelter and that $50 meant a lot to her... in light of which it was disturbing that she then spent $81 on postage to send a huge box full of odds and ends (stationery, a harmonica, party balloons, etc) to Keanu's actual address in LA, and who knows how much she spent on the stuff in there as well. She said she didn't know what those things meant but he probably does, and so she's just sending them to him and he can deal with it.

...anyway I've notified Keanu's PR team that he can be expecting a very strange package in the mail soon. Also I emailed Hawaii's Adult Mental Health Division, because she could probably do with someone checking in on her and Social Services just gave me hotlines to call.

This has been the most interesting January in my life.

From what I gather, it's possible that he knows someone in her family - which is entirely possible, since he has a huge extended family in Hawaii and she lives in Hawaii. She mentioning him coming by her house when she was 5, and a couple more times when she was older. But then I have no idea if even that was all in her mind. Everything is just really weird. I only wish I could be there when Keanu opens that package, if he even dares to. But then he's got weirder stuff in the mail before that's made the news.

I've reported her to Gmail (for violating their terms of service), the Hawaiian police (so someone can check in on her and find her a much-needed psychiatrist) and FBI (for the explicit death threats against Keanu Reeves). she's white, she'll survive.

I'm quite nauseated by them, and frustrated that there is nothing I can actually do to stop this. Ignoring her doesn't help. I've ignored her messages for a while. She's been emailing other people who have not responded at all, and it hasn't deterred her in the least from continuing to contact them. She's still convinced we're all the same person.

Now she's talking about buying tickets to LA to meet with and/or murder Keanu. She's ranting about how he's "visually raping" her with all the cameras he's put in her house to spy on her, and demands that he stop.

No response from the police or FBI thus far. I've contacted the Department of Human Services in Hawaii.

It's my main email account which I've been using for over a decade for all my personal messages, and so I really don't want to abandon it for both practical and sentimental reasons. It's also tied into all my google account services and various accounts all over the internet.

She first contacted me through my website's email address (which is usually for strangers to let me know of technical errors), and my mistake was when I accidentally responded with my personal address which acts as the catch-all inbox. I never expected it to get to this stage.

But judging from how she's still spamming those other people, even if I had never replied things might not have been much different; she just wouldn't have my personal email address, and the other one has the ability to completely block a sender.

One possible solution I've thought of (since she thinks we're all the same person) is to suggest that I'm no longer using this email and to please send future messages to those other addresses. It wouldn't necessarily flood them, since some of them aren't on Gmail and have better blocking abilities. But it would also mean engaging her again and confirming her suspicions that we're all the same person.

I thought of that, but I'm pretty sure it's her.

1) she posted elsewhere about preparing a 'gift' for some other person she thinks is also me, and talking about how the 'clean up' wouldn't take as long for this one;

2) she's sent other innocuous photos of various objects and things that are definitely hers, such as a notepad full of her scribbled notes and her name written on it, or stuff she had just bought plus the receipts. The photo aspect ratio / general picture quality and lighting are the same throughout.

so this is messing me up quite badly. I've filtered all her emails to go straight to trash, but I can't deal with knowing that she's still doing all those gross things and taking photos of it, just for me, and concocting all these sex fantasies to send me, where I'm just as bothered by the bad spelling as the content:

She's still sending multiple emails a day, and even if I don't look at them I know they're there. Not looking at them is hard enough because this has led to an OCD flareup and the more I try not to look the more I have to, and I'm really angry at her for setting that off again and spamming me with images that make me want to puke. I hate feeling this helpless and how there is nothing I can do. Her behaviour now clearly qualifies as sexual harassment, and there's still nothing I can do other than ignore her. It's been a month and she shows no signs of stopping. I can block her emails but I can't block her from creating accounts at my website and leaving comments, which I still have to see before I can delete them.

I could file a police report, but that requires me to give my name and address and I really don't want her to have that information even in the context of a restraining order.

update - one of the stalker's email accounts has been deleted, and the other emptied of all contents. Not sure who is responsible, but the Google session was last started with an IP address originating from LAPD headquarters, so... either she was using a proxy, or the tracking isn't correct, or the police actually decided to do something. (AFAIK at least one other person mentioned lodging a police report because of repeated 'sickening' emails from her.)

I'd been hoping to retrieve her landlady's email address from in there so I could contact her, so I'm a bit disappointed about that since she could very well come back with another account; but at least it's quiet for now.

So a bunch of things happened:

Apparently she was the one who deleted the account, and she was back the next day spamming me with boatloads of actual porn this time from porn websites, which gave me mixed feelings because on the one hand the stuff was more... enjoyable than her usual content, but that also made it more violating. And then there were more photos of shit and menstrual blood and I got fed up.

I went onto the anon fan board where she claims everyone is Keanu talking to her under different names, and told her to quit sending that stuff because it's disgusting and no one wants to see it. She started going on about how I was hurting her and she didn't understand why, and to stop playing around with all my multiple personalities; she demanded outright: "Keanu, do you love me?" I said no, and she got mad saying that she wasn't asking his multiple personalities, she was asking him, so I said no again and signed off as Keanu, which did the trick. I tried to be kind and told her to move on and find peace, but she got really agitated, and then had a total breakdown and started threatening suicide.

She seemed serious and was extremely unstable, saying that clearly I wanted her dead and so she'd give me what I wanted, and she didn't understand why I didn't love her and why I kept her hanging on, and that if I was serious about ending our relationship I needed to stop spying on her and to shut down all the websites that I used to stalk her, or else she'd assume I was just lying again to play with her feelings, and she would kill herself or kill me / Keanu because it was the only way to end it.

A couple of people called the cops. The dispatcher needed an address, so I gave them everything I had on her, but apparently the address I had was fake - she'd used a false address for her documents saying that it was for her privacy. I went digging through the emails to get more clues on her location based on the photos of various malls and stuff she sent, but could only get the general area, which didn't help. This all happened on the board, which unfortunately escalated the situation because she saw it as proof that I had been spying on her, even though this was all stuff that she had sent me. At that point I just walked away because I got scared and didn't want to be accidentally complicit in someone's suicide. I was freaking out a bit, thinking I could end up in jail if she did kill herself because I'd pretended to be Keanu and told her I didn't love her, but a lawyer friend assured me I wouldn't. When I went back later, she had calmed down and said she was going to bed, saying she loved me and was going to send me more 'very special pictures' tomorrow.

And then the next day there was an email titled "I shit for you", so I guess she's fine now. A friend offered to have me auto-forward all those emails to her so she could share the burden, so I've set that up and it's helped a lot to give me some peace of mind. The compulsion to click is a lot weaker now that I know other people are getting the same things and I could just ask them if I really wanted to know. It's still a struggle because OCD sucks, but I'm working on my willpower and trying to make a point each day to mass delete whatever she sent me without opening them.

You should at least consider the possibility that this is nothing more than an annoying troll who is screwing with you to be a trolling jerk; and not an actual disturbed / suicidal person. I mean, it does take at least some level of being disturbed to take trolling to such an extreme, but it is quite possible that this person is just laughing at your expense and enjoying the whole thing.

I thought of that at first, and it's likely that there's a part of her that's enjoying this. But a bunch of things suggest that there's still something more going on:

- the sheer recklessness for her own safety - trolls generally wouldn't send the people they're trolling their phone numbers and photographs of their passports, birth certificates, email passwords and other sensitive personal documents, which she's done on numerous occasions. With that info I was able to get not just into her email accounts but into other accounts by answering their standard secret questions, the answers to which could be found in her emails to me or to other people (which I could access through her email account), and in turn get access to even more info and other email accounts she didn't tell me about.

- She's sent actual money to people she thought were Keanu. It been about $76 in total so far, going by the receipts in her account. Then there's the $100 or so she spent buying the stuff for and sending that FedEx package, and how she sent it to Keanu's actual address, and she had to know there was a real risk then that the police would be involved.

- Some of the email addresses she's sending mail to do not exist because of typo errors, or keep resulting in delivery failure messages. She still keeps sending mail to them.

- a while back I realised that many of the seemingly-incoherent posts were referencing things she'd said on other places that I stumbled upon when googling her name and key phrases in the things she sent. She might talk about something on one website, or when emailing one person, and then continue the conversation elsewhere. A troll who tried this would be investing a lot of wasted effort, because there would be no guarantee that their targets would see all those posts. There were things I did or said which she accused other people of, to their bafflement.

- in her email account was a manuscript of an entire novel she had written and dedicated to Keanu. She'd been sending them to publishers. I skimmed through the content, and she's actually a pretty good writer, but it was the same unhinged sex stuff featuring her as one of the characters, with another who was a thinly veiled version of Keanu. It was hundreds of pages long, and I doubt any troll would have taken that effort, especially since she couldn't have known I would see it.

- She spends a tremendous amount of time on this. For over a month she's been posting daily almost non-stop on those various forums (a few are ghost towns now because she kept flooding the boards with her posts). Most of them aren't targetting anyone in particular, just her talking to herself under different names (her writing style and grammar mistakes are very distinctive, plus their location is identical) in dozens of posts every day, one after another. Along the way there were hints about her life - I think maybe her ex-husband was gay and in denial. On various occasions she's mentioned how he would spend hours looking at men on the internet and she was upset that he never paid her that same attention, even though she bought lots of sex toys and strap-ons and tried to do everything he liked. If that were true it would definitely explain some things.

- the way she does occasionally seem to admit to trolling, but where she believes it's Keanu she's trolling

The emails seem to have stopped for now, though. She's still actively posting on the other boards, so she'd likely be back, but it's quiet at the moment and I've got more of a handle on things.

Things escalated today. She sent a new deluge of photos; I deleted most unopened because their subject titles suggested I wouldn't want to see them, but there was one where she was talking about her ex who lives with her. So I went into that, hoping I'd get some clue to her location in case I'd need it in future if she threatened suicide again. She had a photo of his business card. She said he's rarely around.

I was pretty excited about that because finally I had the contact details for an actual person who knew her IRL. So I emailed him, letting him know that she had been sending me unsolicited nudes and photos of shit because she thought I was Keanu, and had been threatening suicide, and if there was anything he could do to get her the help she needed because I was worried she might hurt herself or someone else.

He replied with:



and now I have no idea just what I've gotten myself into. It won't take that much googling for them to find out where I work, and that's terrifying. I'd like to think they wouldn't go to the trouble and expense of flying all the way across the planet to get to me, but these are clearly not sane people; and even if they can't get to me themselves, they could very well dox me and get other people to do the dirty work.

He sent that from the work email I wrote to, so I sent that screencap to his company. Except that now if he gets into trouble at work it would make him even more angry at me. But he's in quite a high ranking position so it might instead go dismissed, and make him angrier at me anyway. I filed a report to the FBI detailing the previous harassment and included this, since it qualifies as a criminal threat.

I'd also previously Facebook messaged another of her exes, and shortly after she mentioned that that guy was once locked up for unspecified crimes. I'm hoping he's ok now, or else it's two people potentially wanting me dead.
