Super Bowl I'm guessing. Great game... unless you're a New England fan.maz89 wrote:I'll bite. What is this all about?

Who won?
Who was playing?
Do people really think that American football is a sport?

Re: Damn
This bothers me less than any other recent Super Bowl that didn't go my way. I'm happy for Nick Foles, just given his background / story. I'm happy at the concept of a team that's never won the Super Bowl before now having won.
As a whole it was a good game, even though the Patriots seemed to way under-perform. As good as the Eagles' defense is known to be; it really felt like most of the problems Patriots had on offense wasn't a result of good Eagles defense; but rather simply bad Patriots offense.
I'm exactly 5-5 for the last 10 Super Bowls going to the team I wanted.

I thought the Patriots offense was fine, their lack of defense is what lost them the game.

Pats defense definitely lost them the game, but the offense wasn't perfect. Brady was getting pressured a lot, which caused some missed throws; but Brady also made some unforced errors as well, perhaps due to his still-semi-injured hand. What's shocking was that Foles didn't seem to miss anything and arguably made more great throws than Brady. I mean, I expected Foles to perform well--I seem to be one of the few that remembered the great season he had back when; I knew he could be great--but I didn't expect him to out-perform Brady.BruceSmith78 wrote:I thought the Patriots offense was fine, their lack of defense is what lost them the game.

Well their offense was fine in the second half; and of course the scores show that both teams had overall good offense (1 point short of highest combined score Superbowl ever). But like Eva said, it just seemed like there were so many offense mistake from inaccurate throws and dropped passes that didn't really seem to be because of good defense. But of course, pressure on Brady could account for some of that.
