I just got started because a friend was really into it. It's good as a non-distracting way to slowly build up a nation over time, since it just takes less than five minutes a day (unless you're really into it with the roleplaying and all.)
Here is mine so far, which isn't much to speak of at the moment: https://www.nationstates.net/nation=antaxus
(the description is automated and changes based on actions you take which affect the nation.)
