Tsurumaki of course is a Gainax/Khara mainstay and directed the original FLCL back in the day. Anno needs no introduction here, but Enokido worked on lot of stuff like Utena (Amazing) and more recently shows like Star Driver and Captain Earth (These of which I find to be uh, not the strongest of shows).

I think the trailer looks pretty good and its nice to see Gundam use a female protagonist again after Witch From Mercury broke the mold of Gundam ONLY have male leads in TV anime. The idea of underground battling does seem to recall the duels of Witch From Mercury and even G Gundam a bit, though the vibe seems pretty different.

Personally though I'm loving the aesthetic in the trailer and the BGM in particular is very appealing sounding to me. I really hope this doesn't fall into traditional Gundam cliches immediately though like One Year War rehash, an obvious Char clone with red mobile suit etc. I'm optimistic that this will be good though.
