They are promoting a law making Bible study obligatory.

And the general consensus is "The majority are Christians anyway, the minorities should just adapt and respect us. It will be good for morality!"
Yes, we should respect Christianity when it tries to impose their beliefs on everyone. Because the Bible should be respected. And people without God has no morals and should not have an opinion on this matter.

[sigh]

If anything this is the first time I see an atheist on Guatejesusland tv, whose opinion got dismissed completely because she is atheist. But still, quite weird to see that other atheists exist.

That's some:

On a somewhat related note, Oklahoma lawmakers are attempting to ban AP history classes in high school because the curriculum does not show America in a positive enough light. (For those unaware, AP courses are simply more advanced classes that can earn students college credit.)

What is worse is that this society is so oppressive I can't actually give my opinion on that matter without saying "I'm actually the minority here, don't impose your shit on me, please." Because then EVERYONE in my family will get upset.

What's funny is that during my graduation I have to thank God, and most of my friends know I'm the athiest [none] person ever. It will be weird when I say that out loud.

God I hate being atheist, I do. [sad]

I've been told all you have to do is choose to believe. Seems easy enough.

"Promoting" means that it has not passed yet, right?
Good luck. If the law is not passed, then maybe Guatemala is not that bad after all...
