2015 MLB Hall of Fame Votes

Post by sikax »

Received the necessary minimum of 75%:

Randy Johnson (97.3%)
Pedro Martinez (91.1%)
John Smoltz (82.9%)
Craig Biggio (82.7%)

This was Biggio's third year on the ballot. He's been climbing in percentage each year and finally got over the hump. Mike Piazza has also been on the ballot for three years and received 69.9% of votes this year. I'm thinking he'll get in next year.

I'm happy for everyone. Randy and Pedro were two of my favorite pitchers growing up.

Oh yeah, fuck Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. Cheating little bitches.

If I ever meet Roger Clemens in person, I'm kicking his ass. He's a piece of shit human being.

I share your disdain for Clemens and Bonds, but I suspect nearly every baseball player that thrived in the 90's and early 2000's of using PED's, including this year's inductees, and it's hard to blame them. It was so wide spread and quietly encouraged, you were handicapping yourself if you weren't juicing.

I can't go that far. Clemens and Bonds showed radical gains in size very abruptly. Johnson and Martinez stayed really thin and never really added a lot of power.

Every player found out to have juiced should be immediately banned for life and all accolades stripped and burned.

My dislike for Clemens has nothing to do with performance-enhancing drugs. It's for something I know he did but I can never prove.

I don't like Clemens or Bonds because every time I've heard them speak or seen them quoted they sounded like assholes.
