I started watching Fringe on Netflix a couple weeks ago and just watched the episode in which he sacrificed himself last night!

Total bummer.

Westboro Baptist Church is picketing his funeral.

It's further proof of what an amazing person Nimoy was, and the beautiful impact he had on so many lives. If the WBC ever pickets my funeral, I would consider it an honour of the highest order.

While I respect your view, I wouldn't consider it an honour if they picketed mine. I don't want awful, vindictive people anywhere near my funeral when my family are grieving and sad, they don't need that unpleasantness.

But they'd have to pay the airfare all the way to Singapore and suffer 15 + 4 hours on a plane. :|

Other than that, yeah, good point. I think I'd be honoured more by the intention to picket, not the actual picketing, which would suck for people.

I really still can't believe it. I know- he was old. And when he went into the hospital early in the week I had a feeling this was it. Still.. from Star Trek, In Search Of, Fringe, etc.. :\
I really like the video I just saw on his explaining the Vulcan hand greeting for LL&P.
