Though I never read any of his stuff (largely because I just don't really read much at all), I do have a lot of friends that are huge fans. Sad indeed.

At least the Alzheimers didn't really get to him. That would've been worse.

This was absolutely awful news, almost felt like a close friend had died. What a wonderful man, RIP.

And that's why I haven't read Raising Steam. Because I super-super-super-loved Going Postal and Making Money was pretty good and I don't want to read Raising Steam if it's going to be a disappointment. It's been sat on my shelf since it came out, along with I Shall Wear Midnight.

It's ok and I am giving it the benefit of the doubt as I go, in some ways worth it just to read Pratchett's last hurrah. I guess he was also dying while he wrote it so like, a little bit of slack is given I guess.

I actually liked raising steam. Glad moist got one more outing. Unseen Academicals however was a bit different in my mind though.

I just finished today on the train, ironically. My problem is it just goes extremely well throughout and there's no real problems - even when people die!
