My poor old man Jack's paws froze to the ground this morning when I let him out to potty. I had to run down there and try to dethaw his paws so I can get him back inside. It was terrible.

That sounds awful. It was like 8 degrees C here today and it was still too cold. My colleague and I were too busy gossiping and missed our train and had to sit in the cold and damp for another hour and a quarter.

Well, it's hard for us notherners to take a shower when the water is frozen because it's like -34 degrees Celsius so of course we are dirty!

When I was in Illinois, I confess I only washed my hair once a week, because fuck your weather.

Women and their spelling and being unwilling to correct other women's bad spelling.

Well shit, I looked at it knowing it wasn't right but being to lazy to turn around in my chair to read the spelling on the gigantic wall map I have.

30 degrees Celsius here today with 90% humidity - major storm warnings with winds gusting to 100kmph following 40c yesterday and similar storm warnings, and I still prefer this to an American winter.

It actually feels like winter today. I had to wear a windbreaker.

17 F here, which is cold for Raleigh. While getting ready for bed, my wife was talking about how cold it was outside. She said if I didn't believe her, I should go out and get the mail. So I did. And since this conversation happened while getting ready for bed; I was in my boxers while getting the mail. Somewhat cold I suppose, but still nothing compared to Minnesota or Boston.

When you're south of the VA/KY-NC/TN line, 17 is too cold to leave the house.

I'd amend that to say, if you're alive and sane and not actually going skiing or doing research on polar animals, 17f is too cold to leave the house, in fact, if I lived somewhere that got that cold, I'd just move

It's now 4 degrees here. There should be a law against this nonsense.

-6 here too with wind chill of -32. They cancelled school again today. Why can't there be a law that companies have to close for the day too?
