Lets say - you're a famous actor, it's still you, but your job is to be an actor and you've done well enuff to be known.
Based on who you are, your looks, your ability to be funny, charming, mysterious, quirky - whatever it is that you bring as a quality to a room and your perceived ability as an actor type to leverage this into a career, what sort of parts do you think you would get?
For example, are you the funny side kick ala Jonah Hill to the handsome Channing Tatum? .. or are you the handsome affable leading man who doesn't take himself too seriously "Channing"
Or .. maybe the crotchety wizened old "gerroff my lawn" old man who has the heart of gold character actor ala Jack Klugman.
Maybe a Angelina Jolie beautiful femme fatal or a sincere freedom fighting uber moral voice of reason, sometimes God, ala Morgan Freeman.
Second bit - what celebrity persona would you actually want to have. Lets say you identify with the possibility that you could pull off a Jonah hill but really want to be able to pull off a Channing.
For my part, I reckon I could pull off in a fantasy feasibly sort of way the same sort of steely eyed, ready with a quip actiony Bruce Willis type doing the same sorts of parts at the same sorts of ages as he did, from not overy built but still strong action man die hardy type stuff to older wearier, still action many but more feel it after a good chase stuff he does now.
Who I would like to identify with would be more your Brad Pittish type who has range from the absolute embodiment of your pretty leading man too good looking for his own good but the range to pull of a convincing Dangerously unhinged "Fight Club" or 123 monkeys type.

I'm Tom Selleck or Burt Reynolds before he got too old to be Burt Reynolds. I mean 80s Burt Reynolds. Yeah, that's me.

I'd probably be Emmy Rossum.

Michael says I look like Aubrey Plaza sometimes, so I could be her too. If we are talking about latin women.

Had to look her up .. but can totally see that from what I kinda remember her from the Day after tomorrow .. would not go Sofia Vergara.

I would totally not have picked you to have said either of these.. Having said that, one of my favourite Burt roles was in "Boogie Nights" when he was clearly older than 80's Burt ... haven't seen him in anything since he had the worst face lift in the world next to Mickey Rourke's "what they hell have I done to my face-stretch".

I'd be every role that Matthew Perry has ever played.

I'm the Keanu Reeves/Matthew McConaughey/Denzel Washington type.
That means I'm the sage/ninja monk character with a seedy past and if you cross me you'll regret it. Man on Fire, anyone? Oh! Or Jackie Chan. Yeah.

Since high school people have been telling me I look like Woody Harrelson, and I think our personalities probably overlap a bit. I could pull off the sheepishly charming, slightly psychotic, somehow damaged white boy.
The actor I'd probably want to have more in common with would be someone like Dave Chappelle. A real gift for comedy, but the cool, easy story-telling type of comedy.

Decades ago, I was told I looked like a young Max von Sydow, but I don't have his European demeanor or accent. More recently, I was told I resembled Michael Cudlitz.
That being said, I'd probably get the lab geek roles, but would prefer to get the evil genius roles.

I'd probably be typecast as the quiet, uninvolved loner with the heart of gold or the nerdy underdog everyone discounts.
As for celebrity persona, I don't keep up with them, so I wouldn't know. A persona I'd like to relate to is someone who is confident but still down to earth without seeming fake. Anyone like that?

I'd be cast as the super-cynical misanthropic loser/loner who tries too hard to be cool and above it all. Like that one chick from Skins. Elsie. Effie. What's-her-face. Actually I'm also part Cook too.
The idealized version of me would probably be something like Hyde from That 70s Show. He's essentially the same archetype but he's a lot cooler and wittier about it.

I bet they'd cast me as a fucking Manic Pixie Dream Girl. I'd want to be a Femme Fatale but I'm too neurotic and weird. And clumsy. And disinclined to brush my hair.

I have no clue on which celebrity I'd be like. I don't think I quite have the look for an action star, I've neither the rippling abs or the grizzled face.
I'd probably end up being the fairly normal 'straight(in comedy terms) man in a comedy.

I have no idea what your feelings on this are, but there's is a series of ad's here for Progressive Insurance, the main women in the clip always reminds me of you to the point where I can't watch them without thinking, like, very single time, I betcha that's what Aels is like.
Anyways - this is one of the Ad's
If it helps any - I find this women both quirky and adorable.

Um, they just copied Flo from the American ads and gave her an aussie accent. It's even the same ad.

No doubt - its the same company so I imagine they build the campaign and localise it for different markets.

God I wish that secret never got out .. it makes it a lot harder for us to lull you guys into a false sense of security before we take over the world. Guess that's why we're pushing the whole "Worlds most charming and adorable race" thing so hard..

Now that you mention it - you really do! But can you see yourself playing Adam Scott type characters ?
