Lots of movies

What with being unemployed and all, I've watched quite a few movies in the past couple of weeks. Again, only watching things that I own but haven't seen yet.

Bad Lieutenant - Port of Call New Orleans - Well you get to see Nicholas Cage acting crazy and stuff, so there's that.

Trespass - I only have this because it was one of those "double feature" movies with Bad Lieutenant. Better than "When a Stranger Calls", but that's not saying much. Insanely complicated / convoluted plot for a home invasion movie.

Bubba Ho-tep - Elvis Presley and JFK fighting an ancient mummy? How could you go wrong! I liked this... good dark humor, Bruce Campbell, etc.

Cowboys & Aliens - I really liked this first half, and I liked the second half ok. Very cool mix of genres.

Days of Thunder - Pretty typical sports movie.

John Q. - I liked this; good suspense and drama. Total liberal propaganda. [none]

Kung Fu Panda 2 - Almost as good as the first one.

Masked and Anonymous - What the heck was that? Great music. Good cast. I think I bought this one a long time ago just because I saw it had Jeff Bridges and John Goodman. Some good humor. But seriously, what the heck was it about?

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World - Good cat & mouse war movie.

Michael Clayton - Good legal drama.

Milk - Great movie. But man, it was depressing thinking that all this progress was being made in the 1970's, and yet here we are, 40 years later, still having to deal with the exact same crap.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium - Great movie. Heartwarming, funny, etc. Very similar to Willy Wonka.

Robots - Imaginative, but meh.

The Sentinel - Ok drama/action/suspense. Not as good as "In the Line of Fire".

Zodiac - Good.

I think you will find that Zodiac is great.

Which Zodiac? There are two. Both of which came out fairly recently. The one I saw started the guy from Greys Anatomy. His G.A character was called Alex. Don't remember the actor's name.

Justin Chambers! It came out in '05 and was called The Zodiac. Nevermind.

John Q. - Decent. Not Denzel's best.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium - Love this shit. Super underrated and overlooked.

Zodiac - Quite great.

Sentinel was truly boring. I hated it.

Bubba Ho Tep is pretty great - "I'm thinking with sand here!"

It helps when you're working on a giant jigsaw puzzle, so the movie is mostly background noise.

Didn't like Cowboys and Aliens, didn't like John Q, Master and Commaner was cool and Zodiac was ok.

I found Bad Lieutenant boring.

Cowboys and Aliens I really looked forward to, and it's hard to make me dislike a film with Olivia Wilde in it, but it sucked, at least to me.

Master and Commander I really enjoyed.

I've either not seen the rest or wasn't paying much attention to them.

How come more people haven't seen Milk? Seriously, you folks are the ones who turned me into a gay-loving liberal in the first place, I expected more of you would have seen it.

It's partly as I can't stand Sean Penn's smug twatish face. I will avoid any film he is in no matter how good or important they may be.

Pretty much this. I find Sean Penn really annoying.
