Why does the letter w look faded on this site?

It's only in the texts of posts, not in thread titles, forum titles or anything else. But it actually looks like somebody made screenshots of these posts after they were typed out on an old manual typewriter with a loose w key that doesn't strike the paper properly. It's fucking weird.

I initially thought he was insane but when I look closely the 'w' is actually a little thinner (or appears a little thinner) than other letters and that gives it a marginally faded look. Yeah. I've spoken. And when Brandon and I both say something you know we're double completely right about everything as opposed to being individually completely right about everything.
