Is that no matter what. They will always speak English to you. And keep talking English and keep talking to you. So when you reply to them they feel the need to say, interrupting you mid sentence, and they go "wow your English is so good"
I haven't met one American who isn't like that. It's amazing!

I would never say that. I would poke fun at myself/the education system here, saying you speak better English than I do.
