Short and sweet...with a chill song. I get excited when it comes on. It's rare that an intro is what initially draws me to a show, and I never feel the urge to skip it.
When I saw the thread title I was going to post the Luther credits and then I saw you got there first and I ain't even mad because Luther.

True Detective is a good one. But Luther is clearly the best.
If SpongeBob qualifies then I nominate the old Sesame Street intro.

I recently found out my parents won't let my nieces and nephews watch Spongebob Squarepants, and when I asked why they went on a rant that in the end amounted to: they saw an episode where Spongebob goes into the closet and comes out dressed in drag, and it's violent.
The violent thing is horseshit they just tacked on to try to cover their bigotry a little, I think, because come on, I grew up watching Tom and Jerry and Roadrunner and Coyote, but I remember watching Bugs Bunny running around in a dress with my parents in the room when I was a kid. They also had me wear my sister's dress with balloons for boobs for a cub scouts skit once, so maybe they just think Spongebob is too liberal?
I didn't argue with them, because how do you argue with lunacy?
