I just finished my first play through of Mass Effect. Played as an Engineer and let Kaidan die.
Now onto ME2.

tbh they're both awful party members. Garrus and Wrex were my go-to team for pretty much every mission on every playthrough.

I think I went with Garrus and Wrex for the most part. I let Kaidan die.
