This cannot end well. Hundreds of thousands of people have been stripped of recognition as Dominican citizens. Basically anybody who cannot prove they have at least one Dominican parent, and who arrived in or was born in the country after 1929. Given the poverty-stricken status of Haiti I'm not sure what they can do to prevent tens of thousands of people who have never been to their country being dumped over their border, or what they can do for those people once they arrive.
