I was only kidding when I sad no one cares about women's sports. I thought for sure the soccer fans of the board would be out in full force.

I do not personally know a single solitary American who is interested in soccer on any level. It's interesting. You can tell on the ESPN and similar programs that they're trying desperately to sell soccer as something to give a shit about, but it's not happening. [no]

True. But We do have non-Americans here.

TBH, I'm one of the Americans that don't really care either, but I did see the last 13 minutes or so. I actually had no idea it was on until I finished "Hercules" and channel surfed to the station broadcasting it.

Kind of makes me wish I had seen it for Carli Lloyd's hat trick in under 16 minutes, with that last one coming in from the halfway line.

Despite my earlier comment, I must admit that a large portion of the population in El Paso cares a great deal about soccer. It's a Mexican-American thing, I guess. The park by my house even has soccer goals set up, and you can't walk by the place at night without seeing at least 2 or 3 kids playing the shit.

Must be a Texas thing. I lived in East L.A. for a while among a very high Latino population and soccer was mentioned exactly never. [giveup]

Well white, non-Latino Texans, like me, give no shits about soccer. It's definitely a Latino thing, but maybe it's also a regional thing.

Then a bunch of fucktards had to go and reference Pearl Harbor, clearly having forgotten about the fucktardery that is Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The revenge anyone needs to get for Pearl Harbor is against Michael Bay.

Seriously? [gonemad]

Geez, if you're going to make a joke like that, at least make it make sense. Considering the loss the American had to Japan in 2011 and the devastating scoring the Americans did against Japan this year, you could come up with something really offensive, but at least it would be more parallel.

Hah, it's hard to quantify how little the vast majority of football fans care about women's football.
