Can fucking Toronto stop winning so goddam much?

I feel like that bubble is going to pop before it really matters. I'm confident that you'll get the Wild Card spot but then lose to Kansas City. And Toronto is definitely going to beat Houston, but Kansas City will destroy them.

Current probabilities:

AL East: Blue Jays
AL Central: Royals
AL West: Astros
AL Wild Card: Yankees > Rangers

Blue Jays and Royals in ALCS, Royals advance to World Series.

NL East: Mets
NL Central: Cardinals
NL West: Dodgers
NL Wild Card: Pirates > Cubs

Cardinals and Dodgers in NLCS, Dodgers advance to World Series.

Dodgers > Royals

Unfortunately, these things never turn out the way they're supposed to, so who the fuck knows.

The Blue Jays have gone 26-6 in their last 32 games. It's bullshit.

And no, the Red Sox are 15 games back with 29 to play. If they were to win the division, that would definitely be the strangest fucking thing to ever happen.

You still think KC's gonna destroy Toronto? I don't.

I wouldn't say "destroy" anymore, but I still think KC will beat them.

We might just end up with a Yankees-Jays series in the first round. Wouldn't that be fun??

I'd rather the Yankees didn't have to face the Jays anymore this year, but that would probably mean the Yanks are out. The road to the AL championship is going through Toronto, and I don't see anybody beating those fuckers. They're just too strong.

Regular season heroics are erased completely when October arrives. It's a whole new sport.

I do think you guys have a better chance against Toronto than KC, though.

It could end up that the Jays play the AL West winner in the first round, and both the Rangers and Angels are totally unpredictable. Obviously the Jays have the upper hand against any of those three, but the Astros are the only sure thing over there.

Toronto's not just a scary lineup of home run hitters anymore. They play solid defense, they have a strong starting rotation, and since they sorted out their pen, they've posted an MLB- best 1.89 bullpen ERA since the all-star break. They're 38-14 since the trade deadline, when they picked up Matt Price and Tulo, and they haven't lost more than two games in a row during that span.

They not only don't have any weaknesses, they're flat out strong in every component of the sport. Okay, maybe they don't steal a ton of bases, but with a team OBPS that's like .050 better than even the Yankees, who needs to steal?

Well then I guess you're screwed! [none]

I admit I haven't kept my finger on the pulse of the AL East as much as I have other divisions, especially the NL West, obviously, so I'll just take your word for all that.

That said (while KC was a weird anomaly last year), generally speaking teams with playoff experience beat the ones without. And now KC has some, so they have the advantage over any team that might be more talented on paper.

So just switch Houston and Texas and the rest stays the same.

Woo! Playoffs!

In case it wasn't clear, I'm predicting Toronto over everybody. And I'd be surprised if an NL Central team didn't face them in the World Series, but as you haven't been following the AL as closely, I haven't been following the NL that closely.

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't not root for my team. So, fuck the Blue Jays! Etc.

Well yeah, fuck the Blue Jays in the ear, but I still think they're gonna win it all. Doesn't mean I like it.

Ouch, you guys lost Sabathia.

Well, good luck tonight and the rest of the way. If you guys make it to the World Series in LA this year, I'll buy you a ticket to one of the games.

Well you don't hafta worry about buying me a ticket anymore. Credit to Dallas Keuchel, but our offense looked pathetic. At this point I guess I'm rooting for the Royals, although my prediction hasn't changed.

I could get behind the Cubbies. They deserve a WS ring. I'd also like to see the Royals win it. So go Cubs and go Royals, I guess. Fuck Toronto and fuck the Mets.

Toronto's gonna win though. [sad3]

They beat the Dodgers in the playoffs, that's automatic cheating.

Murphy stole 3rd after a walk, but it was a legal play. The Dodgers just fucked up.

The Blue Jays almost got hosed out of a win by some shit, but Bautista hit a 3 run homer like a little bitch so it didn't matter.
