Something feels off about it to me. Like, I don't really get why they needed to make it into this big action movie.

I didn't care until they cast Idris Elba and now I kinda need to hear what a Cockney Shere Khan sounds like.

Warner Bros for Jungle Book: Origins cast Benedict Cumberbatch as KHAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNN!

Disney had my curiosity piqued with ScarJo as Kaa. And only because I thought Kaa was a boy.

Hmm, the words are mostly English but none of this makes any sense at all.

I was going to say yes because Scarlett Johansson is in it, but it turns out all she's doing is voicing a snake, so, no, not really.

Such disregard for voice acting. You disappoint me.

That looks so exhaustively bad. And Scarlett Johansson has a terribly annoying voice that has no business attempting to be a sinister reptile. No thank you.

I would have preferred Jeremy Irons as the snake otherwise it seems cool.

Did that ruin Her for you like it partly did for me?

Yes. Scarlett is cool when she isn't trying to do anything serious. She is not a good actor, and her voice is annoying as fuck. Trying to be all indie and heavy. Ugh

Case in point: Under the Skin

I do like the fact that she tries to be serious and heavy and artsy sometimes, when she could just as easily remain a super-famous multimillionaire by... not doing that.

I liked her in Under the Skin and Lost in Translation, though.

Oh, Kate Beckingsdale would have been better than Scarlett but then Kate is better than almost all women period with the exception of Milla Jovovich who is God.
